• Who Exercises!

  I started exercising by walking to work. I decided at the beginning of last year to enter a half marathon so slowly I developed a walking programme. First I just got off the bus earlier and walked home or I would walk to the next bus stop when waiting for the bus to work. Then I measured out a 6km walk route around my area using the car. I tried to walk this at least 3 times a week, then upped it to 4 days a week. Gradually I worked up to walking 8km to work and then caught a bus the rest of the way. I didn't care about the weather as I made sure I wore lots of warm clothes. My weight did go down slowly as I kept eating how I did as usual-feed 2 kids and a husband so no times to make special meals. The key was starting slowly, having a goal, no dieting involved and keeping at it. And yes I did complete the half marathon walking in under 3 hours so it can be done and lost weight at the same time. Read more about Who Exercises!
