  • 'Two hours of my life i'll never get back' - your movie turkeys of 2013

Last post: Moz za on 20.05.13 at 15:44

I always wanted to read The Time Travelers Wife but being a mum thought I'd get it done and dusted when the movie screened on tv recently. There was 2 hours of my life I wouldn't get back had I even given it 2 hours! I stopped watching after about 40 minutes - just couldn't get into it at all and was so disappointed! Bet the book is better... Read more about 'Two hours of my life i'll never get back' - your movie turkeys of 2013

I don't think I ever gave (nor have been given) a crazy Mother's Day gift. I'm certain though that my sister and I probably nearly drove mum crazy - on Monday's Day or any day really! ;) Read more about Craziest Mother's Day gifts ever, whats yours???????

  • Online Shopping!

Last post: Moz za on 04.05.13 at 08:31

I've had a few great experiences ordering perfume and beauty products through nz.strawberrynet.com. Some excellent specials, a huge range and I qualified for free postage too which was a bonus.

I did so much of my Christmas shopping on-line...our families ridiculously busy social life over the silly season could carry on unaffected with me being able to shop for presents late at night! Again, I found the range of gifts a real positive to shopping this way :) Read more about Online Shopping!

  • Eye cream...what really works? Suggestions please!

Last post: Moz za on 04.05.13 at 08:22

Elours, I really love Trilogy's daycream (and the company's philosophy too) so that's good to hear you rate their eyecream. ClaireElizabeth, I probably don't drink nearly enough water so that's great advise. Agree with the cucumber. And cold teabags too.

Out of curiosity...I've heard it was all the rage a while back to use hemorrhoid cream under the eyes...has anyone successfully done this and had results? Read more about Eye cream...what really works? Suggestions please!

  • Ideas for kicking the flu

Last post: Moz za on 01.05.13 at 06:16

I've heard that once you have the flu nothing you do will actually rid yourself of it...you have to let nature take it's course. However there is plenty you can do to keep yourself comfortable meantime. Such as panadol (for pain relief and bringing down a high temp), plenty of fluids, good foods packed with nutrients (homemade soup for example), rest, rest, rest, throat lozenges, immunity boosters etc.
Some of the ladies I work with swear by placing half an onion in your room...they believe the onion absorbs the germs etc. I don't know and have never tried this but why not give it a go?! And another thing they swear by to stop coughing is to rub a layer of Vicks Vapour Rub on the soles of your feet and pop a pair of socks over top. Again, no harm in trying :) Read more about Ideas for kicking the flu

  • Ladies, or tarts?

Last post: Moz za on 30.04.13 at 06:08

I find the point of this thread (and a couple of the posts) so judgmental! We live in a world now wear people should be allowed to express themselves however they like (within the realms of the law) without being judged and discussed on beauty and style forums by those who think they know better! We need to empower, support and encourage women to be 'themselves'. And we all know growing up it's natual to experiment with many styles, most of which pass quickly enough, this makes us who we are. Don't let your judgemental opinions squah this for anyone! Open your minds and see people for who they really are! Read more about Ladies, or tarts?
