  • Make-up, Is less best?

I thinks guys prefer the less is more look...I love wearing makeup and the amount I wear depends on my mood, the occasion and who I'm with but always I wear it to please myself. I can just as well leave the house wearing nothing but moisturiser then on other days I go the whole hog...all depends on the individual I suppose. Read more about Make-up, Is less best?

  • Are wrist watches becoming obsolete?

    Last post: Starlite5 on 14.07.12 at 17:12

I prefer to wear a watch...I suppose I'm a bit old fashion like that but I get totally disorientated when I'm not wearing one (except of course when I take it off to shower).

  • Privacy is dead.

I don't know why people put their whole lives on places like Facebook and me that's inviting trouble. I like social media as a point of contact with people I wouldn't necessarily get the chance to keep in contact with due to either time or distance but for more private stuff I'd private message them.

One of the main reasons it took me so long to get onto the internet was because of privacy issues but if you do your homework and are sensible about passwords then I suppose it's worth the risk. Read more about Privacy is dead.

  • Equality for all

It's amazing that there is yet another attempt to lay claim to previous traditional ownership of what has been for years considered "crown ownership" for the benefit of all New Zealanders.

Although I agree in principle with iwi about traditional tribal ownership of waterways as I have no doubt in the past before the arrival of Pakeha that indeed was the case, however too much time has passed and too many government resources have now been put in place to both protect and conserve what we have here in New Zealand.

In my humble opinion despite successes iwi have had in reclaiming land back from the crown as well as all the programmes in place to support and help Maori, there is still a huge way to go in terms of REALLY helping the most vulnerable members of iwi and it seems to me that this is just another way of those higher up in the iwi hierarchy to further line their own pockets without the funds/profits trickling down to those who really need it. • Extreme Hair Makeover: Are You Ready for It?

    Last post: Starlite5 on 09.07.12 at 22:58

I love changing my hair's one of the greatest quick pick me ups along with a change of make up and something new (and I don't necessarily mean brand new - I love my op shops!) to wear and that's almost as good as taking a holiday from the humdrum.

However it wasn't always that way but I suppose the older I'm getting the more confidence and comfortable I'm getting in my own skin....these days I'm sporting a real short crop look and I love's all about personal style and taste and a little bit of prompting from the teenager daughter...ah the moments!
