Discussing :: Change

At a team building day one of our quick 2 minute activities was to come up with a motto or slogan for change. We were split into two groups - the first group consisting of older, long serving folk ended up with 'slow and steady' but am pretty sure what they meant was 'Why change?' and the second, much younger group ended up with 'Change happens'. It seemed to sum up nicely the different perspectives you encounter in the workplace toward any type of change.

Interesting! Thanks for sharing.

If your business (and your life for that matter) isn't constantly changing, it's probably stagnant - and that's a recipe for failure. The important thing is to be at the forefront of change, leading from the front rather than trailing along at the rear. As Mahatma Gandhi famously said 'Be the change you want to see in the world'.

thats for that interesting thoughts.....

Must bring some change in to my life. Spice things up a little :P

Yes I agree we own a food business and at present sales are dependent on what people have left over in there pocket we constantly are trying new things adding new items and even give items away for people to try but if people dont have the cash and trust me they dont then you just haved to pray like hell you can make it through the recession one day at a time

Theres also the old saying Change is certain unless its from a vending machine

But never forget the very famous French proverb which is often used in English too -: "Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose" which translated advises "The more things change, the more things stay the same" So what does this mean? Changes do not affect reality on a deeper level other than to cement the status quo. Another way of saying this "New people, new promises, but the same old problems!?
