The joy of camping

Some like to get away from it all, and rough it for awhile...... are you one of these?

Others,..... detest bugs, dirt and getting into nature.

If I had the choice it would definitely be going glamping, glamour camping, having those little luxuries that I had at home with me out glamping e.g. ipad, TV and Wifi etc and of course some robust bug repellant

I used to love camping. I didn't need to take much. Life and campling was simple. Now, I'm not sure I could do it. I still love nature and being in the wild. But... First there's my wi-fi toothbrush... would it work? Then there is my contact lens gear, my emergency glasses/reading glasses/sunglasses; my face creams, my curling iron, my hairdryer; a decent sized mirror; how many pairs of shoes will I need?; enough clean clothes to be able to change in the evening and feel fresh, an iron?; ipad, iphone - chargers; favourite pillow so I don't get too hot; wine and some decent glasses; umbrella; deodorant, portable shower; and the food has got to be good too - life's too short for bad meals.... No, the older I get, the more I find the romance of rough camping evaporates away! Like you Dee-Dee, nowadays its glamping or better :-) to keep me happy!

Happy Camping: the art of getting closer to nature while getting farther away from the nearest cold beverage, hot shower and flush toilet. Oh and leave those electronic gadget at home also.

i have fond memories of camping back in the days... but we went to go camping not long ago... and we got to the camp site... it was $55 to pitch a tent or $75 for your own cabin with beds, a stove a fridge etc... so it was sorrt of pointless to actually camp....

I dont think camping is for me, however i am up to try glamping! that looks perfect.
