Going Dutch - dining out

Being an independent sort of person, would you be offended in paying for your own meal on a date?

#2

Nope, I prefer to pay my own way...I hate the thought that I owe anyone anything.

#3

I think in the 21st century women should expect to either take turns at paying or pay half. We fought for equality so we have to live it.

#4

I always pay my own way...I think it is fair and doesn't put any high expectations on you.

#5

No I would always pay my own way, or at least genuinely offer but I would prefer to pay for myself anyway

#6

Not at all - depends on where you are taken though - some places can charge an arm and a leg!

#7

Going Dutch is totally appropriate in this day and age, underlining equality and independence.

#8

I wouldn't mind having to pay for my own meal unless I was explicitly invited out for a meal, but even then I would make sure I have cash on hand just in case

#9

I think going dutch is fair these days... we tend to date and change partners a lot more in modern times before settling down then 50 years ago. Also going out is far more expensive these days :)
