It’s time once again for the EGG Model Mum-To-Be Competition. This year,celebrities, friends and families will choose the fresh New Zealandface of EGG Maternity’s Winter advertising campaign.

In its six consecutive year, the competition will be taken online to the EGG facebook page, allowing the public to cast a vote for their favorite Mum. The public’s votes will decide the top five New Zealand finalists with the winner then selected by an expert panel including Celebrity mumsAja Rock, Monique Bree, Olivia Hemusand co-founder and designer of EGG, Charlotte Devereux. A separate competition for Australian entrants will run consecutively, resulting in two overall winners.

“This is our sixth annual model search, and it’s become so popular we wanted to give more people the chance to be involved and share their opinion,” says EGG designer and co-founder Charlotte Devereux.“So for the very first time, we’re running the competition on Facebook.”

As soon as they have all the forms and pictures ready, theywill create a question poll in the Facebook Page. The person who gains more votes on Facebook will automatically become one of the ten finalists with two winners then selected by a celebrity panel of judges.

The winner will be flown to Auckland in early November 2011 for a professional photo shoot alongside the winner of the Australian model search. As well as starring in EGG’s Winter advertising campaign, she’ll receive a full set of images to share with her baby in the years to come. All flights, accommodation, meals and transport will be provided.The lucky winner also receives an EGG maternity wardrobe worth $1000.

“We love using real women to showcase our garments, and the feedback we get from customers is overwhelming,” says Charlotte. “Everyone really appreciates the fact that we only use truly pregnant women in our shoots!”

Mums-to-be who will be between six and eight month pregnant at October 31st2011 are eligible to enter. Prospective models can register online at facebook.com/egg or eggmaternity.co.nz. Entrants will need to submit an up-to-date photo of themselves and their budding bump.

The winner of the EGG Model Mum-To-Be Competition will be announced on both websites on October 10th 2011
