The Kiwi Pomtini


3/4 oz. POM Wonderful 100% Pomegranate Juice
1 oz. Orange vodka
3/4 oz. Peachtree Schnapps
1 oz. fresh orange juice
1/4 oz. lemon juice
Equal parts ground cinnamon and granulated sugar and a slice of kiwifruit or orange rind for garnish

Shake all drink ingredients with ice to chill.

Serve in a martini glass prepared as follows:
Mix in a bowl, one part ground cinnamon and one part granulated sugar.
Moisten the rim of a martini glass by swiping a slice of orange around the rim.
Dust glass rim with the sugared cinnamon mixture and decorate with a slice of kiwifruit

1 oz. POM Wonderful 100% Pomegranate Juice
3/4 oz. vodka
1/2 oz. Liqueur
1/2 oz. fresh lemon juice
3/4 oz. triple syrup**



Assemble the first five ingredients in a mixing glass and shake well with ice.
Strain into a flute and top with champagne

** Note: ** Triple syrup is a combination of simple syrup, honey syrup and agave syrup. All the syrups are made by dissolving the sweet ingredient into an equal amount of water. To make 1 pint of triple syrup, mix 5 ounces of each syrup together.

    What gorgeous colours! They both look very exotic. I have tried POM pomegranate juice and really ejnoyed it so I'm sure I'd love these cocktails.

    One thing, in the bottom recipe, "1/2 oz Liqueur" is listed as an ingredient. Isn't the word 'liqueur' simply a generic name for those concentrated alcoholic beverages one generally sips after dinner. It would make a significant difference to the taste of this cocktail depending on what liqueur was used. Since none is specified, I'd go with say Triple-Sec or Cointreau. Does anyone else have any suggestions?

    To make a sincere honest comment on these cocktails is ....... 'Cheers and bottoms up',........ and then await with bated breath. Cointreau would add a touch of class to this and many others, eg Harvey wallbanger.

    ha! what a cool name for a drink the kiwi pomtini.....I like it....and will store this with all those other cocktail recipes to try at a later date
