Grand Rum Toddy - Hot Cocktail Recipe

Shot of rum

½ shot of Gran Gala or Grand Marnier

1/3 shot of lime juice

Hot water to fill

Lime wedge for garnish

In an Irish coffee glass combine the ingredients, top with hot water, stir and Garnish with a lime wedge

My Dad isnt much of a drinker but as soon as he feels a hint of a cold comeing on he will get himself a rum and cloves drink. He swears by it, says it's just what the body needs to fight off the germs and warm up the soul. Cant wait to make up one of these for him, I think he'll love it. I may have to try it out first though... :-)

With rum to soothe the senses
And lime to fight the bugs
A shot of something stronger still
Let’s call this drink “Warm Hugs”!

And if you don’t like hugging
And would rather play it cool
Here is a little lesson that
You never learned at school

Instead of boiling water
Just add ice to this fine brew
And a dash of sparkling water
But take care, don’t overdo

Whichever way it’s yummy
And it makes you feel so good
I bet you’d like to try one now
Who wouldn’t if they could!
