With the help of her husband Roarke's financial know how, and her faithful partner Peabody's dependability, the no-nonsense Eve investigates the case, watching the body count climb as she does.

As are all of the books in the series, Calculated In Death is strongly character driven, developing its characters fully right from the get go. What makes this series special, winning it its faithful fan base, is that the characters grow across the full span of the series, so reading the latest instalment feels like catching up with old friends. For readers who have not read previous In Death novels, however, there may be a few holes, as each follow on novel provides little recap. My recommendation? Start at the beginning.

For fans of the series, Calculated In Death will not disappoint. From the first page, this good old-fashioned whodunit murder mystery has the reader guessing. The action, humour, plot twists, and romance combine to make this a page turner.
