Win A Double Pass To The Craft and Quilt Fair - Christchurch

LET’S GET CRAFTY - Craft & Quilt Fair 2015

The Craft & Quilt Fair is coming back to Christchurch at the Air Force Museum of New Zealand, Wigram, September 10 – 12 and no seam will be left un-sewn. With everything under one roof, the Craft & Quilt Fair is the perfect day out for beginner crafters and experts alike.

With a variety of crafts on offer, the Craft & Quilt Fair will provide plenty of inspiration and the latest trends in crafting to keep you up to date. What’s more, free demonstrations and interactive workshops will have you picking up new skills.

Whether you want to check out what’s new with your favourite craft, or explore a new one, there will be lots to see and do, including: knitting, embroidery, card making, quilting, fashion styling, applique, crochet, accessory and soft toy making and so much more.

A special highlight will be the Lest We Forget Quilt Challenge display. Quilters from Australia and New Zealand were invited to create small pieces to commemorate the Anzacs – 100 quilts for 100 years. This is a touching tribute and the stories behind the quilts are very personal and poignant.

Special guest artist, Kerrie Gurney from Brisbane Australia will demonstrate how to create gorgeous greeting cards, and scrapbook layouts to preserve your special memories. Don’t miss the giant ‘Secret Garden’ where visitors will be opened up to a world of mindfulness and transported back to their younger years with the latest craft trend to captivate the nation, adult colouring.

Check out daily demonstrations from international vintage stylist from the Lindy Charm School for Girls, Miss Chrissy Keepence from Australia. Presenting for the first time in New Zealand, Miss Chrissy will demonstrate how to use your crafty skills to transform outfits – embracing the ‘make do and mend’ mindset of yesteryear. Miss Chrissy will also be teaching masterclasses on the Thursday and Friday, offering everyday advice for creating the perfect pin-up look.

Make sure you drop by the Quilthouse Schoolhouse where the ‘gurus’ share their skills and tips for creating quick and easy quilts. And there is a full line up of free workshops and hands-on classes each and every day taught by local and international experts.

Once you have picked up the tips to make your wildest crafting fantasies come to life, make those fantasies a reality, pick up all of the supplies you could ever need by swinging past the exhibitors stalls and speciality retailers from all over New Zealand and Australia.

The Craft & Quilt Fair is a must do, whether you want to take your crafting to the next level or pick up a hobby. Head to to start planning your visit and to get the best priced tickets.

I recently visited the headquarters of London-based "fake omega" in order to get a more intimate view of this fascinating company which continues to be so very controversial. A warm and highly congenial man, breitling replica is perhaps one of the world's most active and ardent rolex replica sale fans and collectors – which is slightly ironic given the amount of criticism he receives for what his company fake omega does to rolex replica timepieces. I've personally never been ambiguous about my appreciation for what Bamford does, nor am I insensitive to those tag heuer replica sale who are not particularly taken with his work.
