I’ve always loved the Jane Eyre tales. Best thing was my nana wrote a family history book, tracing our family back hundreds of years and discovered that the Jane Eyre tales were actually based on our ancestors… the Eyres. Our Eyre family first arrived in NZ up near Mangawhai and named the point Eyres Point which is also known as Te Arai Point. Quite buzzy.
