If you want an entrée that’s delicious, then look no further than these Meatballs in Onion Sauce. People don’t often combine the two, but this dish does it with such skill and style that there won’t be a single person who isn’t asking you for the recipe after eating it!

Ingredients

900g Beef (ground) 

450g Pork (ground) 

1 cup Bread Crumbs

1 cup Milk 

1 medium Egg 

1 tsp Salt 

2 medium Onions (finely chopped)

1/2 cup Butter

For Making Onion Sauce

3 cups Onions (thinly sliced) 

1 cup Butter

6 tbsp Flour

1 tsp Salt

2 ½ cups Beef Broth

1/2 cup Milk

Procedure:

- Soak the bread crumbs in milk.

- Mix all the ingredients listed for meatballs, except butter.

- Form meat balls the size of walnuts.

- Melt butter in a well.

- Brown the meatballs well in the butter and allow to simmer, covered, for an hour.

- In the meantime, sauté onions in butter, in a separate pan, until they are caramelized.

- Blend in flour and salt.

- Slowly, add milk and beef broth and stir until the sauce become thick.

- Pour the onion sauce over meatballs and serve.
