Bonfire Apples

When you’re enjoying a great bonfire night it’s wonderful to be able to have something sweet, and these gorgeous Bonfire Apples are just the thing! Children will love to ‘help’ cook these, and the finished product will taste amazing!



1 Bramley, Cox’s Orange Pippin or Royal Gala apple, cored

1 tablespoon soft dark brown sugar

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

- Fill the core of the apple with the brown sugar and cinnamon

- Wrap the apple in a large piece of foil, twisting the extra foil into a tail for a handle

- Place the apple in the coals of a fire or barbecue and cook for 5 to 10 minutes, until softened

- Remove and unwrap, being careful of the hot sugar
