Nothing like snazzing up the winter wardrobe. Layering up is a must in colder climates so why not brighten up an outfit with these awesome tights. These aren't to be worn INSTEAD of skirt, dress or trousers though, no. Please don't. Read more about Leg It

Gorgeous. About time too - so many fabulous labels dedicated to girls (Facebook has hundreds just in NZ), the boys market is under-done. Nice to see little boys dressed like smartly dressed little men too. The photo above reminds me of the two wee boys I nannied for in UK. I'm constantly shocked by the state of some overweight customer's trolleys at the supermarket. Fill of white bread, coke, pies, blue milk, chips etc. It is hideous. How much effort to change to brown bread, diet coke (if needs must!), fruit, trim milk etc. Little changes can make a big difference. Their poor kids are doomed. If opportunity doesn't knock, then build a door. Sometimes you will need to abandon one doors-plans and start afresh. I think after years of having glass doors shattered, we all realise that a wooden door may be best for us! Read more about On delivering a project: You are always wrong

The Treaty of Waitangi was agreed upon under a giant umbrella of language barriers and misunderstandings. That is fact. However, so many grievances have been settled, so many merging of cultures and races now exist that we don't as a nation want to go in the other direction - reverse racism - where one race (Maori) receive over and above special treatment. Positive discimination should only exist to the extent required for everyone to be equal and have equal opportunities, not over and beyond.

Having said that, New Zealand needs to truly appreciate the wonderful Maori culture, rich language and history. It should be taught, remembered and treasured. Maori people should receive the same respect we all strive for.

I hope we will reach a time when all New Zealanders are treated equally, where positive discrimination is no longer needed. Read more about It's time to say "no more"

  • Revitalizing the Private Mortgage Market: 'Skin in the Game' and the Consequences for Future Homebuyers

The NZ Mortgage market is different and thankfully our position isn't quite as bad as that in the USA. Still, reading about a $2US trillion outstanding mortgage deficit does make our own little mortgage seem a lot easier to manage! I guess the upshot is that homeowning works for those of us who like working on and improving our patch of land and house, and for others, the rental market actually works better. Unfortunately in NZ the obsession is with home-ownership so the benefits of renting are never truly realised. All amazing ideas. Takes girl-power to really think outside the box, eh! I'm loving the Incirca too - right down to the colour-scheme. I think the Share chair/table sets would be great in hospital visiting rooms too. Table handy for all kinds of need-at-arms-length items and the chair really does look comfy! Just quietly, was there supposed to be a blurb on Capetown? As currently just the 2 cities in above article. All equally fabulous in their own right - there is a hideous crime rate though as anyone travelling over there, particularly if by yourself or in smaller groups needs to be really careful, especially in isolated areas or at night.
Photo of Capetown attached - so it has its own representation in the article! Read more about Top 3 cities in South Africa
