Is Halloween becoming more popular in NZ or not?
There was NO Halloween when I grew up. It was strictly a North American thing. We got over 100 kids at our house this year. It's DEFINITELY increasing in popularity. Read more about Is Halloween becoming more popular in NZ or not?

Is Going to College Worth the Investment?
Haha - you're trying to get people to cheat and get their degree by paying other people to write their assignments, and you can't even string a sentence together in English. Read more about Is Going to College Worth the Investment?

If feels like hype to me, though after reading this thread I might try it again. I've recently developed problems with acid reflux which this seems to make worse. I'm so sick of media hype, and everyone having the ability to make a website that looks legitimate and putting all kinds of made up crap on it and we believe it. Or don't know what to believe. :/ Read more about Apple cider vinegar?

Will never forget a friend who came to visit me from the USA and bought some of this, thinking it was for washing your head and your shoulders. He used it as an all over body wash. :) Read more about Win With Head & Shoulders

Windfalls - would you honestly do?
$1000 - if I had to spend it right away... tempting to pay off the credit card. If I had to buy something... Maybe just stuff I need. Clothing, sheets, new seat covers for the car, that kind of stuff.
$10,000 and I'd finish my film. We need about $25k, but 10 would make a good dent in that.
$100,000. Finish the film. Travel with my girls. Travel with the film. And sit on some for when needs arrive, like I might need a new car in the next few years... Read more about Windfalls - would you honestly do? -
My fave is the hare krishna place on K Road. Cheap and vegan. But I'm not from Auckland, just work there sometimes so I don't have a lot of suggestions.
But that's a good point about chips, nuggets and fish on the kiddie menu. My kids assume that's all they'll ever get at restaurants. Never any variation, except at Lonestar, or if they order from the main menu. We've started eating out more and I feel like I'm giving them fast food every time :/ Read more about Eating out in Auckland -
Movies - taking it to the limit!
2D for me. I'd rather filmmakers focus on the story, acting, making it real, than hyper-real. Read more about Movies - taking it to the limit!

I definitely think there is an untapped market for sun umbrellas. Nice ones that are more like parasols than rain umbrellas. I had a pattern to crochet one a while back but wisely realised it would probably have taken me the rest of my lief to finish it. :/ Read more about who's the umbrella thief!?

Ideas for Free Activities with Kids
Depends where you are. Beach is a great idea. Short bush walks. Pools aren't too expensive.
What area are you in? Makes a big difference.
Do you have to take her 'out'? Can you do things at her place, or your place? (Not sure how it all works) Read more about Ideas for Free Activities with Kids -
