The bus driver can’t hear you. He has already driven away.

Amsterdam bus

He couldn’t care less, you should have been on time,

You should have been there when he cared, when he had time to give you attention.

Dam.

Oh well the next bus is 10 mins away?  Wrong.  It could be 5 mins away or 25 mins away.

You don’t know.

You know it is coming, but when?

The point is, in the meantime you’ve missed out.

Communications is rapidly changing and has been doing so for years, the bus has come and gone many times, each time it does, you miss out!

So when are you going to be on time jump on board, and give it a shot.  As hey one day its going to be lonely at that bus stop.

So true when I look back in my life and see all the opportunites...the flip side of the coin is that things happen for a reason and if it's meant to happen then it will!

Yeah, I don't buy any of that. I've taken opportunities that I wish I hadn't. And gotten involved with a few guys that I now wis I'd never even met. That whole 'better to have loved that lost' thing? I don't buy that either. Sometimes the pain afterwards is WAY worse than the good that came from the relationship.
I also don't believe everything happens for a reason. Take cot death for instance... what good reason does that serve??

For me, I try to take every opportunity I can to live my life to the full - the operative word being 'opportunity' rather than risk or chance. Not everything works out how you would want it to regardless, but isn't it often life's difficulties that make you stronger , wiser and more compassionate.

There are so many cliches and I know it sounds trite, but for me anyway, the words ring true: "Without the pain, we wouldn't recognise the pleasure"; or as my old school motto said "All sunshine makes a desert".

There are some great ' regret and mistake' quotes at:

I guess one of the most famous is "I'd rather regret having tried something than regret not to have tried something."
