How To Make A Sex Tape

Sex tapes have rocketed relative unknowns to fame (Paris Hilton) and helped others with their careers (Pamela Anderson). But it’s not just celebrities that get frisky in front of the camera. Lots of couples have enjoyed making tapes in the comfort of their own home. If you’ve not indulged, but have always been curious about making a sex tape, then read on to find out how to go about it.
 Day Four

It takes two to tango
The first thing that you need to make a sex tape is an obliging partner. Some women will be keener than others to make this fantasy of yours a reality. And there are a number of reasons why your partner may not share your enthusiasm for movie making, including performance anxiety, worry that the video will make it onto the internet or into the wrong hands, embarrassment or feeling that it’s too kinky. So it’s important that you talk to your partner before setting up the tripod in the bedroom! Discuss how you imagine the scenario going and offer not to focus on her face or erase the tape after watching if she is apprehensive; if she still isn’t interested, don’t force it, it’s just not her thing.

Set the stage
Once you’ve got your partner on board and agreed on the rules you are ready to set the stage. First things first, you need a camera. A lightweight small camera is ideal, but the size or quality of the equipment isn’t really important – after all you’re not making a Hollywood blockbuster. Whatever you are using, make sure the battery is fully charged and get a tripod ready if you would like a wide angle. Next set the lighting. Unless you have an infrared night mode on your camera you’re going to need the lights on. You could just use a lamp or your bedroom light but if you would like something softer and more flattering then use candles (you will need a few so the light isn’t too dim for the camera). Then play some sensual music and if you want to use some props have them in position. To keep everything running like a well-oiled machine, it’s a good idea to have your lubricant within easy reach.

Lights, Camera, Action!
So are you and your partner ready to hit the record button? Following a few simple tips will help to make your escapade as successful as possible. Firstly, keep quiet; you’re not going to be interested in the dialog when you play it back and there is a potential embarrassment factor, so it’s best not to bother. Secondly, ignore the camera. Sex tapes are about voyeuristic adventure so you run the risk of ruining the mood if you look directly at it. Lastly, don’t be afraid to experiment with the camera angle, use a tripod to get a wide view or hold the camera in your hand for close up intimate shots.

However your adventure plays out, it’s important to remember that you are not a porn star, so don’t be surprised if it doesn’t turn out how you imagined - you should expect a lot of giggles when you play it back.

Burn after watching
No I don’t mean burn copies onto DVD and give it out to anyone who’ll take it. I mean erase the evidence. Yes it’s fun to make your masterpiece and watch it back. But it’s not so fun worrying if a friend or family member will accidentally stumble upon it. And you can always make another one in the future.

If you go ahead and make a sex tape, then relax, enjoy it and don’t expect too much! Even fully clothed people get nervous in front of a camera so being naked is likely to make you say or do something that looks frankly bizarre!

ummm... I would think it would be an article "Why NOT to make a sex tape"
"One night in Paris" should be enough to teach us why these aren't such a good idea

Not surprisingly, from the wording, it seems this article was written for guys. I wonder where the writer got the stats to support the statement "LOTS of couples enjoy..."

Visual stimulation is a number one for guys but for women, sex is usually more in the head. Sure porn may stimulate both sexes but not so much for women when it's themselves on show. I doubt there would be many women who could look at a video of themselves having sex without analysing their bodies - that their bum is to big or how they hate their cellulite, or their breasts are droopy, or their thighs hairy.... and the guys, bet it wouldn't even occur to them; they'd be too busy getting aroused all over again!
