I was once at a buffet in Malaysia where there was an amazing assortment of icecreams available. I couldn't read the descriptions so just pointed to the colours I liked. Bad decision… They turned out to be sweet corn (yellow), yam (purple), “taste like vomit’ Durian (cream), and Red Bean (pink).

I have made Green Tea icecream myself a few times but not using green tea syrup (I don’t know where you can buy this). Once I added lemon scented geranium leaves to the preliminary infusion. It was yummy! I have also tried a powdered green tea icecream mix but the result had a most unexpecte peculiar texture (like shaved cardboard) so I wouldn’t recommend this. There are lots of recipes about so try different ones or get inspiration from all the different green tea blends (lemon, ginger, etc.) that you can buy to drink.
