Keep on Running this Winter with Icebreaker

Exercise in stylish comfort with Icebreaker’s premium merino GT Run range

The shorter days and cooler temperatures are no excuse to put your trainers away or let your gym membership lapse. Maintaining a regular training regime will keep your energy levels up through the winter months and donning your super stylish Icebreaker gear will keep you looking and feeling cool.

Icebreaker’s premium merino GT Run range is designed specifically for runners (and gym bunnies) and is lightweight, breathable and doesn’t hold odour like synthetic materials. They’ve even got handy in-built pockets for your keys and credit card – perfect if you want to travel light while you’re burning those calories!

Icebreaker has a range of garments to keep you in top-to-toe comfort. Whether you’re into boot camps or pounding the pavement, make sure you layer up first and then strip off once you warm up.

Icebreaker SS Rush Crewe (RRP $129.95) - Functional features include a back stash pocket, reflective piping to increase visibility at dawn and dusk, a cord management system for your iPod and breathable eyelet panels to prevent feeling sweaty.

Icebreaker Rush ¾ Tight (RRP $149.95) - Offers streamlined, next-to-skin performance which dries quickly and keeps your legs warm while you push yourself that little bit further. A lined gusset enhances your motion and prevents chafing.

Icebreaker Swift Jacket (RRP $249.95) – This plush and warm terry-construction merino wool jacket offers comfort and warmth on those extra chilly days.

Icebreaker GT Run Rush Bra (RRP $69.95) - With a racer-back styling and a set-on band for enhanced support, the Rush Bra gives excellent support to A and B cups, and medium support to C cups.

Icebreaker Run Lite Micro (RRP $27.95) – Looking after your feet is important so keep them cushioned with the in-step support and extra padding around the heel and toe.

For those of us getting started in exercising it is more about the shoes than the gear. I love ice breaker - but to be honest, until I know that I am totally committed to exercising I will probably pass on the ice breaker gear. It is worth the money you spend, but it is still out of the budget of most of us.
  • Being an active outdoorsy person from the mainland, Icebreaker gear is an absolute necessity. Whether running, out walking, playing golf, walking the dog or skiing, you can layer up the merino, peel off layers as needed and it is amazing how warm you stay. Other fabrics/brands keep the sweat close to the fabric and you get cold really fast - not icebreaker's merino. Strongly recommend.
