I agree, so much is missed out in a movie although it does help to visualise the setting better

I've never read Carrie before, maybe it was too close to reality for me ;D. Dolores Claiborne, The girl who loved Tom Gordon, Needful Things and the Dark Tower series are favourites of mine. I have a few Alfred Hitchcock books, one titled 'The stories they wouldn't let me do on television' and like King it's the suspense that I love, I don't like horror so much, I'm saving my fight or flight responses for when I may need them :D but sitting on the edge of your seat with nail biting tension on what's going to happen next I love.

His books are soooooo much better than the films too, directors ALWAYS do his books injustice. . .Oh except for green mile and shawshank redemption
