Wet weather activities

So it's pretty rainy and miserable here. What do you guy all get up to on a cold wet winter day? How about for those of you having to entertain kids off on school holidays?

My daughter recently joined Brownies and we've found that working on badges is a great way to keep her entertained, spend time together or have her work on something alone, and get great ideas. Today we are learning to use a compass and going orienteering. Unless it rains. There are art projects, writing, SO many big and little ideas, and she gets badges. I was a brownie when I was little but had kind of forgotten about it until she asked to go. I can't believe I didn't start her earlier. My little one is starting Pippins next year. It's a great way for her to hang out with a nice group of girls, and she just got back from a Brownie camp. 2 nights, only $40, and a TON of fun!! I guess for boys there is cubs and scouts, but I've never really heard much about them.
