How to keep a room cool?

So my room has several consoles. A lot of heat coming from them. I've been turning off everything when I'm not using them and I'm investing in blackout curtains Soon. Also have the ceiling fan going counter clockwise at all times. But the room still becomes a little to warm for my liking.

I was hoping to get ideas for helping to keep the room cool?

My solution is AC. It was a perfect decision for this summer to buy one on http://fonko.co.nz/ . In addition it's essential to keep windows and curtains closed while the sun is out. Also opening the windows after the sun sets will allow cool air to flow into your room. And of course a dehumidifier. It reduces the level of humidity in a room and could cool you down.

Open the window, keep your door closed and let it stay like that for about 30 minutes. When you come back, the room will be cooler and most likely will not be affected by your body heat.
