5 spice chinese chicken and zucchini gratin for dinner... No carbs.. Full delicious!!!!!

This is the picture of last nights dinner.. it was neat coz i cut the chicken into strips and you can kind of see... so it was like eating chips or wedge... but they were healthy chicken ones!! it would have been better with maybe a relish or something though to tie the two sections of the meal together a bit more...

recipe was:
for the chicken... make a marinade out of ... 3lbs or chicken, 1/3 cup soy sauce, 1/4 cup light oil, 1 teaspoon garlic, 2 teaspood 5 spice powder, 1 teaspoon ginger - marinate chicken for an hour or longer then over bake until cooked (took about 20mins at 190 degree for the chiekn strip type things that i made)
For the zucchinni... slice 4 zucchinnis up and boil for 2 mins.. layer in a small tray, grind some pepper in between eat layer... top with parmesan cheese and drizzle over a little bit of butter... bake for 20mins or so...

Well... I had to make lots of slice recipes to try them out for the upcoming Guide Recipe book and though I gave a ton to the daycare, and to the Brownie camp, I may have accidently eaten a couple of slices. A day. For about a week. And somehow I seem to be able to convince myself that if I do a few Grand Jetes down the hall I must be working off those calories. I'm pretty sure that's not true though...

OK didnt go for my walk at lunch as it was raining- fail - not much of an excuse but I would then be all wet at work. Got home late from work and my partner had cooked pasta - eeekkk no wheat at night - fail - so might as well finish off the night with a bit sized picnic :)

lol love it! although i have been told that instead of saying the day is ruined so we will just give up we should stop after the first mess up and not allow for more... but thats so hard - im totally you fall once you just fall all day type!!

Planning on macaroni cheese tonight =l delicious but eeek! - hitting the gym for an hour before hand though so hopefully that evens something out.

Dang it! Now I seriously want Macaroni and cheese. Fortunately my kids don't like it so I seldom make it. In fact, having picky kids probably helps me eat less. Their food is boring. Although there is a bag of Rashuns in the pantry...

Crikey thats one of my all time favourites - for some reason upsets my stomach everytime I have it though, I think its a bit of a cheese overload. YUM

Eat the rhine! It's the best part! Just need to balance it out and not eat so much the following night. And go for an extra long walk or something.

I may have accidentally eaten two marshmallows I found in the car. Felt sick after eating them Serves me right. May have to have a homemade cookie to wash them down...

Well, um, they were kind of in a packet... and by that I mean they were rolled in a paper towel because my daughter had brought them home from daycare... She didn't want them though. I'm not stealing candy from babies! This time...

Well, that's exactly right. unfortunately that has been the down fall of my diet on many days. They don't finish their meals/cookies/drinks/deserts but they are too good to waste. Sometimes I hardly cook for me because I know I'm going to get theirs as well. Sometimes I just eat everything. Bad. And yet often SOoooooo good!!
