Last few flicks I watched at the cinemas were X-men: First Class & Green Lantern.

I was overall pretty disappointed with Green Lantern, went home and watched the animated version to cheer myself up. Packed with CGI & afew funny lines here 'n there, the plot seemed rather slow. My son (5yrs) is a major Green Lantern/Justice League fan but the villians Hector & Parrallax scared the hell out of him so not recommended for young kids. Ryan Reynolds delivered hotness as expected but I wouldn't have picked him as Hal Jordan. Hollywood seems short of folks to play as Marvel characters it seems. Blake Lively looks stunning as a brunette, damnit. 5/10

X-men:First Class, has to be the best out of the rest of them. I loved this movie from beginning to end. Lots of action & great story line, Kevin Bacon stood out for me. Enough said. 10/10

I really enjoyed the last Harry Potter movie :) Sad that they've come to an end though.

Love love love bridesmaids movie - definitely brought a lot of truths to the troubles of being maid of honour and meeting the brides 'other' friends. Loved it!

I couldn't believe how much I liked It's Complicated. I watched it on DVD, alone, and laughed out loud, which is rare :)

I absolutely HATED World's Greatest Dad with Robin Williams. I thought it was a good idea, a kid that everyone hates dies and his father inadvertently creates mistruths that turn the kid into a hero, but watching it sent WAY to many shivers down my spine.

Mao's Last Dancer is really nice if you like ballet at all. I have a weak spot for male ballet dancers. I gave it 9 out of 10.

Surprisingly I really liked Yes Man with Jim Carrey. I really liked the premise, saying yes to everything, and I thought it was really well done. I also really like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind which is another Carrey movie.

Slumdog Millionaire is really great. Well constructed. Great performances. Very interesting. I know there was a lot of hype when it came out, it was all accurate. Loved it.

And I recommend Vicky Cristina Barcelona. I do have a weakness for Spanish speaking men, but I think, putting this aside, it was a really good movie. :)

Why are you posting a different post for each movie? Just put it all in one geeez....its kinda cheating if your trying to win the competition...

I'm thinking there is pretty much no hope of me winning any competition since it runs til Oct or something. I was actually on the Fatso sight so was posting as I saw movies I liked. If I was only trying to win a competition wouldn't I just post something like:
"Charlie St Cloud 7/10"?

I hated Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire. I didn't like the main actress, didn't think she could act at all. It was sad with no redeeming qualities that I could see. I understand why it won awards, but it wasn't based on it's entertainment value.

I had thought that this movie would have been better too, but was disappointed by how depressing and un inspirational it was

Really? I loved it. A bit brutal, but I guess that was the point.

That was on such a long time ago. I don't remember much about it, but I think that I enjoyed it too.
