Sealord is providing you with added inspiration for meal times so tuna is given its rightful place in the weekly dinner menu as a quick, tasty, nutritious and affordable option.
Creamy Italian Lemon Pepper Tuna Fettuccine
Serves: 4 Preparation Time: 10 Minutes Cooking Time: 20 Minutes
1 tbsp olive oil
1 onion, halved and sliced
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tsp Gregg’s Herbs, try Italian or Mixed
1 cup cooking cream
2 185g Sealord Tuna Sensations Lemon Pepper Tuna Flavour
1 medium courgette, grated
2/3 packet Diamond Egg Fettuccine
Salt & pepper
Cook fettuccine in a large pot of boiling, salted water following instructions on packet.
In a large saucepan on medium heat add olive oil and sauté onion, crushed garlic and herbs until soft
Add cooking cream and let it come to the boil.
Stir Sealord Tuna Sensations Lemon Pepper Flavour and grated courgette* into the sauce and cook until
the courgette is tender and sauce has become thick and creamy.
Drain the fettuccine and add to the cream sauce and leave on heat for about a minute to allow for the
pasta to absorb some of the flavour. Season to taste.
*When you add the courgette why not add ¼ cup of chopped sundried tomatoes and garnish with parmesan.
